Configuring the IsoTools to allow for bi-directional travel often provides a smart option when replacing leaking trap valves.

Plan and deliver

Built with discs, the 16” IsoTool was launched out 100’ and parked within the client’s property. The control system was placed atop the pipe where the IsoTool was located. With zero impact on the pipeline or the environment, the IsoTool was set in 57 minutes and held pressure for 19 hours.

Service completion

The client had the capability of producing reverse flow, and the pig was backed up into the receiver and removed from the trap. This time when the door was opened there was no seepage past the valve.
