Configured to be bi-directional, the Integral IsoTool was used to isolate a 10” pipeline launcher in North Dakota.

The best solution

A leaking launch valve was an integrity concern and constantly required packing grease anytime a pig was needed to be launched. To remediate the problem, the client needed to change the valve, and decided to replace the entire cluster while the line was isolated.

Plan and deliver

Using the IsoTool allowed production and flow to remain on-line downstream of the repair site.

Service completion

A 12 hour window was granted for the work to be completed, and the upstream production was back on-line in 10 hours
